The British Trust for Ornithology’s Ringing Software Technical Panel have accepted a coding scheme for recording colour rings/flags/tags/colours with and without engraved digits etc.  Many colour ringers and colour ring coordinators have kindly provided their knowledge and assistance in the development and review process of this standard. It is hoped that the standard can be adopted across Europe in order to assist in the excahnge of unambiguous information.
